Project 365: News Update

Project 365: News Update

Well, another two weeks have past, so I should be posting 16 more environmental portraits to round out my Project 365: Environmental Portrait Month theme. Unfortunately, I didn’t take any more. Even more unfortunate, I didn’t take any images to speak of during the past two weeks. On that note, I’d like to share some [...] [...more]

Project 365: Environmental Portraits Month 1/2

Project 365: Environmental Portraits Month 1/2

Environmental portraits are fun to shoot. While I still have a slight hesitation every time I ask to take somebody's portrait, I'm always amazed at how few people refuse. Not all of this month's images are true keepers, but its amazing to see how much a face can make an ordinary photo extraordinary. People photography is the best part of travel photography. Lesson learned. [...more]

Project 365: Only in Argentina Weeks

Project 365: Only in Argentina Weeks

Unfortunately, I really didn't have a good feel for the theme. I really captured a few great shots, but I wish a few of them would go away and hide themselves. I guess it's all part of the learning process. Anyway, as June came to an end, I decided to end the theme early to set off in a new direction. I'm finally halfway there! [...more]

Project 365: My Grey Hoody Week

Project 365: My Grey Hoody Week

I wanted to add a smile-worthy week to my Project: 365. I’m nearly halfway through the year and I can honestly say this 365 project has become a grind. Its difficult to harness a different creative idea every day, while continuing to complete several other projects as a hybrid travel photographer and writer. I decided [...] [...more]

Project 365: Color Week

Thankfully, I went for a bike ride through Lunlunta, a section of Maipú, Mendoza, where there are a number of scenic wineries. I quickly noticed that some unpicked grapes remained on the now flaming orange and red vines and instantly knew the weeks theme should be color. [...more]

Project 365: 7 Different Compositions Week

As some may know, I'm currently completing an online Travel Photography course with MatadorU. It isn't exactly a well-known photo school, but they've put together a great crash course on how to improve photography skills and start making money from it. The latter part is what drew me to the course. [...more]

Project 365: It’s Autumn (In Argentina) Week

Project 365: It’s Autumn (In Argentina) Week

Experiencing Autumn twice per year is a unique benefit to splitting my time between Canada and Argentina. While most of my relatives and friends are watching flowers bloom up north, we're watching the nature's annual coloring show down south. Its a beautiful time of year. Oddly enough, I only need to wait four more months to witness it once again. Sadly, I never experience spring. [...more]

Project 365: Low Angle Shoots Week

Project 365: Low Angle Shoots Week

While shooting the last few weeks, I’ve gotten into an unusual habit of shooting from the same height. I was stuck in a bit of a rut, so I figured I should change things up by selecting a compositional theme. I decided on low-angle images. These seven images were all made with the camera within [...] [...more]
