Shortly after I moved to Jasper National Park, in October 2011, it became the world’s largest Dark Sky Preserve. While the dark skies are beautiful year round, star gazers gather in October to celebrate its annual Dark Sky Fest. Personally, I’ll forgo sleep on most clear nights to go out and photograph the stunning stars.
